The Center for Civil & Human Rights / Career Development Office Practictioner Series presented a session on Practicing Civil Rights Law: The First 50 Years Since the Dream Speech on Thursday, September 19, 2013 and Robert A. Murphy, a Senior Litigator, discussed his experiences in the criminal section of the civil rights division of the US Department of Justice in the 1960s, his experience as National Director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in the 1970s, and opportunities for lawyers to do civil rights work today.
