Casner & Edwards Attorney Katie L. S. Von Kohorn Co-Chairing MCLE's Estate Planning 2015 Conference
Casner & Edwards’ Katie L. S. Von Kohorn, a partner in the firm’s Wealth Management practice, is co-chairing MCLE’s Estate Planning 2015 Conference. The conference, featuring representatives from investment management firms as well as attorneys practicing in wealth management, will offer cutting-edge developments on estate planning.
Von Kohorn is also on the faculty for the conference, and will be presenting on digital assets. Von Kohorn will teach conference-goers the history of digital assets and the problems that fiduciaries can face in identifying and gaining access to those assets, and will provide an overview of digital asset planning techniques for fiduciaries and clients.
Von Kohorn provides comprehensive legal advice to individual clients and generations of families with respect to estate planning, including estate and gift taxes, probate law, estate and trust administration, and philanthropy. She and her colleagues in Casner & Edwards’ Wealth Management practice group advise clients in estate planning, estate and trust administration and related tax matters, serve as trustees of numerous trusts, and counsel trustees and exempt organizations on issues pertaining to planned giving, fiduciary responsibilities, and charitable trust law.
