Casner & Edwards Attorney Terry Hamilton Successfully Argues a Rule 1:28 Appellate Decision on Behalf of Dunkin' Brands, Inc.


Boston, MA Casner & Edwards LLP announces that Terrance J. Hamilton, a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Group, was successful in a Rule 1:28 appellate decision that he argued before a three-judge panel in the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Hamilton's case involved a franchise matter in which the appellate court affirmed the trial court's finding of no liability on the part of franchisor Dunkin' Brands, Inc. Casner & Edwards’ Robert A. Murphy, served as trial counsel, successfully defending the case in the Norfolk Superior Court, and Hamilton, Murphy and David Koha collaborated on the appellate brief when the franchisee sought reversal of the judgment and/or a new trial in the Appeals Court.

Hamilton specializes in professional and legal malpractice litigation as well as having substantial appellate experience (over 40 reported decisions) before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
