Boston law firm Casner & Edwards, LLP announces that attorney Steven M. Ayr was selected to be a member of the Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Network (PAN). Ayr joins other Greater Boston professionals from complementary disciplines, including attorneys, accountants, financial planners and insurance professionals. Together, they will build relationships around the shared value of incorporating philanthropy into their practices. Ayr begins a two-year term in January 2018.
PAN provides a dynamic place for professional advisors with approximately 10 years of experience to connect with others at a similar stage in their careers. Members of this network are interested in learning ways to incorporate philanthropy into their work. PAN is a two-year term with an optional third year and consists of mandatory quarterly meetings which include a networking component as well as an educational component. There are additional opportunities to attend volunteer and learning events.
Ayr has served the small business, startup, and artist communities since launching his own practice in 2009, and as Business Counsel at startup-focused law firm Fort Point Legal P.C. He has experience structuring organizations from formation to dissolution, negotiating, drafting, and revising the contracts that make businesses tick, and litigating disputes when relationships break down. In addition, Ayr is an intellectual property nerd and helps clients leverage copyright, trademark and trade secret protections to develop their products, grow their brands, and succeed in the marketplace. In 2017, Ayr joined Casner & Edwards as part of the firm’s acquisition of Fort Point Legal P.C., and continues to represent the entrepreneur community.
