Casner & Edwards’ attorney Steven Ayr will speak at the MBA’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar, Business Startup Toolkit for Lawyers, February 27 in Boston, MA. Ayr will serve as a panelist on, “Advising the Entrepreneur,” educating attendees on issues an entrepreneur might face during the business formation process. The program covered entity selection and formation, early tax considerations, protecting intellectual property, managing business relationships and planning for the unplanned.
Ayr has served the small business, startup and artist communities since launching his own practice in 2009, and as Business Counsel at startup-focused law firm Fort Point Legal P.C. He has experience structuring organizations from formation to dissolution, negotiating, drafting and revising the contracts that make businesses tick, and litigating disputes when relationships break down. In 2017, Ayr joined Casner & Edwards as part of the firm’s acquisition of Fort Point Legal P.C., and continues to represent the entrepreneur community. He serves on the MBA’s Media, Education and Technology Committees, and on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division.
The MBA’s Continuing Legal Education Business Startup Toolkit for Lawyers is sponsored by the Business Law Section and Young Lawyers Division. The MBA offers education, advocacy, networking, volunteer and mentoring opportunities, insurance and referrals.
