Casner & Edwards Attorney Sharon C. Lincoln Named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation
Boston law firm Casner & Edwards announces that partner Sharon C. Lincoln has been named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). Membership in the Fellows is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.
Lincoln advises nonprofit entities on the wide range of issues related to their tax-exempt status, including formation, funding, governance, executive compensation (including deferred compensation), regulatory compliance, restructuring, international grant making, lobbying, unrelated business income, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, she assists clients in matters directly involving the Internal Revenue Service, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, including audits, appeals, and ruling requests. The ABF Fellowship Program was established in 1955 and is an honorary global society of attorneys, judges and legal educators who are dedicated to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities. Fellows are recommended by their peers and elected by the Board of the ABF. The Fellows support the research for the ABF through annual contributions as well as sponsor seminars and events of direct relevance to the legal professions.
