Julie R. Bryan, a partner in Casner & Edwards’ Litigation Group, will present at the Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) “Walking the Tightrope: Accountability and Reconciliation in the #MeToo Era,” on October 16, 2018. Bryan and fellow panelists will explore how communities may move from shaming to accountability and reconciliation for the accused, the victims and the community at large in the wake of the #MeToo movement. The event is the first in a series planned as part of the MBA Dispute Resolution Section’s celebration of Conflict Resolution Week.
Bryan is a business litigator, mediator and counselor with experience representing clients in a variety of disputes in areas ranging from probate disputes, construction, employment protection, business torts, trademark and trade dress infringement, patent infringement, manufacturing contracts, government contracts, bankruptcy creditors' rights, real estate, as well as insurance and reinsurance. She regularly advises clients regarding their intellectual property rights, employer/employee rights, potential liability with regard to claims from competitors or creditors, compliance issues, ethics, governance issues and obligations under a variety of contracts in numerous industries. Julie also has experience conducting internal investigations in schools and companies with regard to sexual harassment claims, Title IX compliance, and a variety of workplace disputes. Bryan is also a skilled trial attorney with experience in both state and federal courts, representing clients from the initiation of a case through trial and appeal. She is a trained mediator and has extensive experience with alternative methods of dispute resolution.
