Casner & Edwards Attorney David Valente Appointed as Vice-Chair to the Committee of ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law


Boston law firm Casner & Edwards, LLP announces that attorney David C. Valente was appointed Vice-Chair of the IRA Accounts & Plan Distribution Committee of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law (RPTE) for the 2017-2018 year.

The ABA Section of RPTE is a diverse community of approximately 22,000 U.S. and international lawyers, paralegals, real estate and financial services professionals, law students, and legal educators. They provide leadership and subject matter expertise on current regulatory and legal issues, trends, and best practices with the singular goal of empowering members to better serve their clients.

Valente is an attorney in Casner & Edwards’ Trusts & Estates Group. By integrating legal, financial, and tax strategies into a single, cohesive plan, he structures holistic plans to solve clients’ multi-faceted needs. In turn, this empowers clients to make informed, prudent decisions. Valente provides comprehensive advice to individuals, families and small businesses. He concentrates in tax and estate planning, gift and estate tax return preparation, probate matters, asset protection, business administration and succession, estate and trust administration, special needs planning, and charitable planning. Prior to his legal career, Valente advised families for over eight years at a downtown wealth management firm on stock option planning, retirement planning, investment portfolio management, insurance analysis, charitable bequests and income tax reduction strategies, prior to becoming an attorney.
