Boston law firm Casner & Edwards, LLP announces that Stéphanie Smith has joined the firm as a Partner in the Employment Group. Prior to Casner & Edwards, Smith was Counsel in the Boston office of WilmerHale.
Smith has a broad practice focused on all aspects of employment law, including hiring and firing, performance management and disciplinary action, reductions in force, leaves of absence and workplace accommodations, protection of intellectual property, and compliance with federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour laws and leave laws. She also represents clients in litigation matters before government agencies and state and federal courts, including those involving discrimination and harassment, wage disputes, contractual disputes, and ERISA benefit claims. She has also represented clients in mediations and arbitrations and has experience conducting internal investigations into various employment matters, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, and employee theft.
