Boston law firm Casner & Edwards announces that Laura C. Ames has joined as an associate in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Group. Ames concentrates her practice on developing comprehensive estate plans for families and individuals.
Ames represents high net worth clients in meeting their long-term wealth management goals by creating and implementing strategies to minimize tax burdens including estate, gift and generation skipping transfers. She advises individuals and families on estate and probate administration, and counsels fiduciaries and beneficiaries on the administration of complex trusts. Ames also prepares and files estate and gift tax returns.
Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, Ames was an associate at a Boston law firm where she practiced trusts and estates law. She earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she served as a certified advisor to the Battered Women's Advocacy Clinic. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, Boston Estate Planning Council and Trusts and Estates Consortium.
