Alexander N. Macheras concentrates his practice on Trusts & Estates, advising individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
Alex works with clients to prepare comprehensive estate plans including wills, revocable trusts, and advanced planning vehicles such as Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts, and Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts. He also advises on tax-efficient gifting, succession, planning for closely held businesses, and charitable giving strategies. In addition, Alex prepares and reviews gift, estate, and income tax returns, helping clients remain compliant while minimizing exposure.
Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, Alex was an associate at Shipman & Goodwin (formerly Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers) in Boston.
