Gary L. Kemp concentrates his practice on formation and maintenance of private business organizations, including all legal matters that they may encounter in the course of their existence.
Gary has provided advice and service to clients with respect to corporate organization, capital structure, loan arrangements, securities financings and capital formation, employment matters and exit strategies. He has represented companies, executives and individuals on a wide variety of contract and licensing matters, commercial leasing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings and securities issues, including private placements and investment advisor registrations. His practice includes clients in a wide range of business sectors such as manufacturing, computer software and networking, publishing, marketing, energy and technology consulting and consumer electronics.
Gary has an active intellectual property practice, covering evaluation, registration and infringement of trademarks and copyrights. He has advised a number of academic institutions regarding their policies covering internet usage and copyright clearance by students and faculty.
Before joining the firm, Gary served as Staff Attorney at the Massachusetts Securities Division. In that position he worked on corporate finance and enforcement matters and served as Vice President of the Investor Alert Committee of the North American Securities Administration Association.
Gary is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
Gary attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with Distinction. He obtained his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.
