Carmen F. Francella III focuses his practice on complex commercial and business litigation, as well as independent and external investigations. He serves clients in various business disputes, as well as during government investigations and enforcement actions. He has experience advising clients during civil investigative demands and subpoenas, and during consumer protection actions brought under Chapter 93A. Carmen has also represented clients in Article 48 Initiative Petitions before the Supreme Judicial Court.
As a member of the firm’s Independent Investigations Group, Carmen has extensive experience as an independent and external investigator. Since joining the firm, he has helped conduct sexual misconduct investigations for three elite New England boarding schools. He has also served as an external investigator in Title IX sexual misconduct investigations, and as an internal investigator for a global nongovernmental organization. Carmen previously honed his investigative skills as an investigator for the Office of Bar Counsel of the Board of Bar Overseers.
