Michael F. Zullas

Michael Zullas brings a broad range of experience counseling private and public companies, both in-house as a general counsel and in private practice, to the firm’s Business Law Practice Group.

Mr. Zullas’ work in-house for high-tech businesses has run the gamut from an Internet start-up with approximately 50 employees (Why.com, Inc.) to an NYSE-listed manufacturer of electronics equipment (Manufacturers’ Services Ltd.) that was acquired by a contract manufacturer with more than $7 billion in annual revenues (Celestica, Inc.).  Mr. Zullas also served as in-house counsel for a NASDAQ-listed software company (Inso Corp.) and a NASDAQ-listed telecommunications company specializing in voice-over-IP infrastructure solutions (Sonus Networks, Inc.).  Mr. Zullas' most recent in-house role was as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of   m-Qube, Inc., a mobile technology company that was acquired by Verisign Inc. for $280 million.

In private practice, Mr. Zullas has counseled businesses at all stages of development: from inventors seeking venture financing and international licensing deals for their products; to software companies needing assistance with employment issues, licensing, and contracts; to the formation and sale of investment advisory and financial services firms; to the turnaround and sale of a $900 million federal government IT products and services provider.

Mr. Zullas also brings insights honed earlier in his career as a business litigator with Hale and Dorr, LLP (now WilmerHale) and as a prosecutor of public corruption and economic crimes with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.

Mr. Zullas earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt Law School, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Vanderbilt Law Review, and a Bachelor’s Degree, cum laude, from Williams College as a double major with highest honors in History.
