Katie L. S. Von Kohorn is an associate specializing in trusts & estates and exempt organizations. Ms. Von Kohorn's practice focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and advising charitable trusts and exempt organizations.

Ms. Von Kohorn advises individual clients and generations of families with respect to estate planning, including estate and gift taxes, probate law, estate and trust administration, and philanthropy.  She also serves as trustee of numerous trusts, and works extensively on the investment, tax, and legal aspects of trusts, as well as with the varied interests of trust beneficiaries.  She counsels trustees and exempt organizations on issues pertaining to tax exemption, fiduciary responsibilities, and charitable trust law.

Ms. Von Kohorn is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. She serves on the Women's Initiative Committee of the Boston Estate Planning Council, and also serves as treasurer and director of Musica Sacra, a nonprofit organization in Cambridge.

Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, LLP, Ms. Von Kohorn was associated with Bingham McCutchen and Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston . She graduated with honors from Harvard College, and received her law degree from New York University School of Law.
