SANDY TARRANT is a partner in the Nonprofit Organizations Law practice of
Casner & Edwards, LLP, in Boston.
specializes in advising nonprofit organizations in matters involving corporate
law, compliance, business transactions, financing, tax exempt bonds, tax
exemption, philanthropy, and matters involving fiduciary, governance,
fundraising and donor issues.
Prior to joining Casner & Edwards, Sandy
was an associate in the Corporate and Public Finance practices at the Boston law firm Mintz
Levin. Prior to law school, she worked for
eight years in varying capacities for nonprofit organizations and political
organizations around New England.
In 2009, Sandy took a professional leave from
the firm to teach at Boston
School as a Visiting
Assistant Clinical Professor and Visiting Director of the nonprofit and
transactional Community Enterprise Clinic at BC Law’s Legal Assistance Bureau.
Sandy is a
member of the Boston Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She continues to serve as an adviser to the Community
Enterprise Clinic and has served as an Alumni Mentor with the Boston College
Law School Alumni Mentor Program. She
received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston
School, a B.A. from Boston College
and graduated from the BC Program for Women in Politics and Government.
