James D. Takacs is a partner in the Family
and Probate Law Group. His practice encompasses
all aspects of domestic relations litigation,
including divorce, custody, paternity,
guardianship and will contests. With wide-ranging
experience in high conflict disputes,
Mr. Takacs has engaged in a variety of
litigation involving complex business
valuation and asset division, trusts and
inheritances, domestic violence and non-traditional
family structures. In addition to trial
advocacy, Mr. Takacs has conducted divorce
mediation in highly confidential matters.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Boston College
Law School teaching trial practice and
evidence.
Mr. Takacs was formerly a member of White,
Inker, Aronson, P.C. where he concentrated
his practice in the area of Probate and
Family law. His litigation background
includes his position as an Assistant
District Attorney for the Middlesex District
Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted
all levels of criminal charges in both
the District and Superior Courts, with
extensive jury trial experience and appellate
advocacy.
Mr. Takacs is a graduate of the University
of Rochester. He obtained his law degree
from Boston University School of Law.
Mr. Takacs is a member of the bar in Massachusetts
and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar
Association.
